Send your letter and wait. On average, there is going to be a 3+ month wait for a response.

Brian Rafalski NHL success (Detroit Red Wings) - May 26th, 2011
I sent Mr. Rafalski a picture to sign earlier this month and got it back signed May 24. I sent it to the Joe Louis Arena address. He retired earlier this week.
